General Terms and Conditions

Below you will find our General Conditions for renting furniture and for services that involve furnishing an apartment, house, office or any venue in Switzerland.

1. Delivery

The lessor shall deliver the rented items mentioned in the contract at the agreed time in a usable and clean condition.

2. Use of rental items

The customer uses the items for the purpose agreed in the contract. Changes in use require the permission of the lessor.

3. Maintenance of rented items

The lessor is obliged to take appropriate care of the items and to remedy any defects. Defects must be reported by the lessee immediately in writing to the lessor. The customer or the tenant is responsible for the normal cleaning and the maintenance during the rental period.

4. Return of rented items

The rented items must be returned in good and clean condition, considering the contractually stipulated natural wear and tear, as well as the condition of the items at the beginning of the contract.

5. Cancellation

The rental contract can be terminated free of charge after the end of the agreed rental period, with a period of 10 working days to the end of each month, i.e., the tenant or the customer must inform the renter of the desired collection date at least 10 working days in advance. pick-ing up larger orders (f.e. furnishing 3 - 5-room apartments) takes four hours. If the rental interest is not paid, the lessor has the right to terminate the rental agreement with the same period, or at any time unfounded with a period of 10 working days, whereby the termination must be notified in writing to the tenant and the customer. The lessee or the customer must grant the lessor access to his premises to take back the items, otherwise he will be liable for damages. Should the contract be terminated before the minimum rental period, the lessor can claim the applicable balance.

6. Rent

The rental fee for the rental furniture is based on the customers gross rent, the size (room) of the apartment and the Concept selection. The fee needs paid be monthly. The first monthly fee and the fee for delivery/pick up and assembly is payable, latest 10 days after the signed contract or at the time of delivery. The delivery/pick up and assembly fee is only due provided that the rental period takes place less than 24 months for the 15% Concept and less than 36 months for the 5% Concept.

After the agreed rental period, the contract is automatically extended unless it is canceled in written, at least 10 business days in advance.

The rental amount includes on-site deliveries, the installation and dismantling of the furniture, collection at the end of the rental and property insurance (see Article 10). We ask for good accessibility at the place of residence and parking facilities at the place of delivery. Otherwise, an extra charge may be charged. We advise you to set up a standing order for the monthly rental fee, as payments are expected latest 1st day of every month. We charge for payment reminders CHF 20.

7. Changes to the rental property by the tenant

Renewals and changes to the rented items require a written permission from the lessor.

8. Liability for damages

The customer and the tenant are liable for all damage caused by him/her to the rented items.

The lessee or customer is obliged to have private liability insurance for the duration of the lease, which includes the damage to rented property.

9. Withdrawal from the contract

In the event of withdrawal from the contract 7 days before the agreed delivery date, a monthly rental interest will be charged.

10. Insurance against elementary damage and theft

The lessor will take out property insurance, that protects the rented items during transport to and from the place of residence.

The tenant or customer as well, during the rental period against elementary damage such as fire, water and/or theft.

11. Security

The lessor is entitled to demand a deposit amount from the tenant. This serves as a security for claims of any kind.

The lessor can request: a copy of the lease contract, ID card or debt collection register.

12. The place of jurisdiction

Unless otherwise agreed by contract, Swiss bond law (OR) applies. The Swiss registered office of the lessor is the place of performance and place of jurisdiction.

13. Quality Standard

The lessor is obliged to deliver the items that both parties agreed on, based on the Furniture list and the Concept board. The lessor cannot be held accountable for slight deviations in terms of color of texture compared to the pictures that were shared between both parties, if not obvious and subject to the eye of the beholder. Should the customer/renter not be happy with the standard provider due to a lack of comfort, which has influence on the quality of living of the lessee, therefore classified as unbearable or unacceptable under relatable circumstances, the lessor is prepared to find a suitable alternative for the furniture piece in question within a reasonable amount of time and a reasonable charge.
